Steel Noodles 1: The Cover
Posted on: June 25, 2010
Got my proofs today. Overall it is looking fantastic. Just have some simple tweaks and the print run can start. Comic-Con 2010 premiere is looking great. Now prepping for San Diego plus rolling right into book number two.
Who’s the girl with the green eyes? She looks kind of familiar….

Nerd City or Bust!
Posted on: July 23, 2008
It’s going to be one long day today driving, then setting up at the San Diego Convention Center for COMIC-CON Preview Night. For the first time in it’s long history, Comic-Con sold all one day and four day passes. So anyone thinking they can just “drop in” will be in for a surprise.
At 6pm ALTERNATING CURRENTS makes it’s debut and marks the beginning of what will be another long but fun filled four days in Nerd mecca. And as usual, stay tuned for daily con updates.
Comic-Con 2008 Prep (Updated)
Posted on: July 11, 2008

It’s a little under two weeks before the big show in San Diego and the final prep has begun!
According to the printer, ALTERNATING CURRENTS will be ready sometime next week. I saw a mock up of the book last week and it looks great and I am very excited to finally share it with all of you soon.
Also back in February, I was able to finish a seven page contribution to the new HOT MEXICAN LOVE COMICS 2008 called MUERTO MAMBO starring a character I created way back in 1995 called SAMURAI SLUG.
Slug first appeared on HMLC Number 1 and 2. and at the time, I was green and had no clue how to draw comics. Back then Slug looked like this:
Samurai Slug was created in a lab when slug and human DNA where combined in an experiment. The result is a blob of nebulous flesh that continues to slowly evolve. In Muerto Mambo, Samurai Slug now looks a bit more human than before. And like the other two stories, he is still trying to go on vacation…. but fate always seems to get in the way.
HMLC 2008 will be on sale at Comic-Con at Small Press table N8. Here’s a panel from MUERTO MAMBO and the sexy new cover for HMLC painted by Paul Wee:

And while you’re there, please be sure to visit all our other friends and check out all their wonderful new work. Locations are listed on the sidebar to the right.

Alternating Currents
Posted on: June 10, 2008

With Comic-Con San Diego a little over a month away, I am pleased to announce my new sketch book called ALTERNATING CURRENTS, a loose sequel to the highly successful Wayward Traveller from 2006 and features brand new illustrations and sketches, all with that now familiar sci-fi flavor.
As for Comic-Con, I’ll be sharing a table once again with my friend and colleague, the talented Octavio Rodriguez who’s debuting a preview comic this year. So make plans to stop by and hang with us in a few weeks at Exhibitor Table G4 in Hall A at the San Diego Convention Center (aka Nerd City) starting with Preview Night on Wednesday, July 23, 2008.
Comic-Con Interview
Posted on: August 9, 2007

During the San Diego Comic-Con this year I was interviewed by freelance web radio host DON KELLY for his show called OLD SCHOOL PIZZAZZ.
Don was kind enough to send me an MP3 of our little chat where we talked about The Wayward Traveller, Hot Mexican Love Comics and of course, Steel Noodles. He’s definitely one cool guy and a witty host.
You can hear Don as well the show in it’s entirety on DeadlyBuda.com
Old School Pizzazz airs 4pm PST daily.
